Future Coast North Swanage Coastal Walk & Talk

PLEASE NOTE that due to recent landslips the walks will end near The Pines Hotel

NEW! Book & Look - on Wednesday 28th January due to the road conditions in and out of Swanage, under advisement from Dorset Council we needed to cancel the walk & talk at very short notice.  Apologies to anyone who made it to the start point, cancelling is something Sara does not like to do! As we appreciate not everyone is able to view updates on social media, if you intend to join us on 11 or 25 February walks please email Project Office Sara Parker with your name and telephone number to book your place and look at your emails for updates on the day of the walk

Starting at 11 am on Thursday 12 February 2026 from the Ocean Bay end of the beach this is an opportunity to learn what Cliff Behaviour Units are - sections of coastline where cliffs share similar characteristics and patterns of erosion or instability. Understanding these units helps us predict how cliffs will respond to natural forces and plan adaptation strategies.

Ever wondered how and why our cliffs are changing?  Join us for an interactive walk from Ocean Bay and explore real examples of coastal erosion.

Let's walk the coast and talk about its future together!
